Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; vs. 7, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Starting a new year can be scary and stressful if you have not made significant progress in the previous year. According to Apostle Paul, we should be anxious for nothing but to pray, give thanks, and make our requests known to God. You can be at peace even if you do not know what this new year holds because you know who holds the future.

Deuteronomy 30:19
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life so that you and your children may live.
The choices we make govern our lives. More important than the choices we make are the consequences that follow. It is advisable to weigh the consequences before making any serious decisions in your life. Always choose life (God) and remember the good thing is not always a godly thing. Choose to make godly decisions as you go through the new year.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
As you enter the new year, remember that he did not bring us this far to leave us. You can rest easy knowing He has better plans for you. He has got you and me in his hands. He has got the world in his hands. Just like in previous years, things will be challenging. There will be no magic years where things always work out for you. Good or bad, everything will work out for you if you believe in him.
